Here are images from my undergraduate thesis show. They go together and tell a story, as I'm sure you can tell. I also have these all printed in black and white.

OH and for those of you who are not savvy with printmaking terms, as I think is the case with the majority of the world, here is a list of definitions.

etching- a printmaking process where line and tone is etched into metal using acid. The lines can be made by drawing through a resist. These lines then act as a matrix that then holds ink, which is printed through a press onto paper.
aquatint- an etching process that produces values
a la poupee- a printing process where the color in the print is applied directly to the plate, then run through the press. Then the lines and tone of the image is inked up and registered with the color already on the paper. This is a double drop process.

Melissa, I am so excited for what is in store for you. I remember what we did in highschool, but now you are even more talented(we would hope that the professors did their job heh)! I didn't know it would be possible(this sounds like I'm really sucking up but i'm not trying to LOL)! Really though, I love the ideas you have and always been able to create. Good luck and hope to hear from you soon!
