This is a page from a book I made called "The Flight of Mortimer," where a creature struggles between flight and weight and learns to benefit from sacrifice. It's never easy to let go what weighs you down, and in his case it was his legs.

A monotype with drawing. I did this piece after several little things kept nagging at my mind, plucking the hairs from my head.
