Happy Valentines Day everyone! I hope everyone got a little love this week, be it from a significant other or from friends and family. We all need a little love and though I know many people, who for good reason, consider this holiday to be a load of dookie, I like to celebrate it by spreading as much love as I can. You know, you don't have to buy chocolates and cards to tell someone you love them. Just scribbling some honest statements on a piece of construction paper, a hearty hug, or giving someone the time of day. . . in all honesty just making yourself present can really make someone feel like a million bucks. So thank you to all the valentines I have out there for living and breathing, for working every day for what they love, and thank you all for your love! You are what makes life wonderful!
Birds have always been a big joy of mine and recently I put up a bird feeder at my house. Unfortunately it was very quickly sabotaged by evil ninja squirrels. Still, this inspired me to make a drawing of some of my favorite birds. Here's where the good part comes in. I was thinking that the last time I did a contest it was not only a lot of fun, but someone got a really cool prize! So I'd like to open this contest up to everyone. The first person to correctly identify the birds in this drawing will receive a special prize! I am going for as accurate as possible, so give full names. Depending on how many responses I get, and how many accurate responses there are I may do second and third prize too. In fact, lets just say I'll do that. I'll give you a week and announce the winners in next week's blog post.
